My First Post!

So, as this blog is "Russell and Ashley," it will be about both of us but primarily written by me (Ashley), as I have internet access at work, and he doesn't. Also, Russell would probably not be extremely interested in writing about our lives to other people on the internet. I don't really feel much need to introduce/explain us, as anyone reading this probably knows us already.

The latest with us isn't much, depending on how recently you've talked to us. We bought a quad in November, and a scooter in February. Got married in February as well. On that subject, I've been planning our wedding since then. We just got married in the courthouse, sort of spontaneous-we'd decided to get married in the courthouse and have the wedding later, but didn't know for sure when either one of those things were going to happen until Russell asked me on Valentine's Day if I wanted to go get married (and of course, I said yes). So I went to the Bridal Expo here in Phoenix this past weekend with a co-worker who's also getting married. Fun, fun, fun, I must tell you, but so exhausting! We saw the fashion show, sampled a whole bunch of food, and in the end I ended up buying my dress!!! So very exciting, I really am not into "girlie" things all that much, but I'm actually getting more excited about this than I thought I'd be. As soon as I got home, I put on the dress and showed it to Russell (yes, I know it's bad luck), just because I was so excited and loved it so much. It's really sinking in now, that we're having a wedding!

I'm turning 21 tomorrow, so party!! (I know, I'm over-using the exclamation points, forgive me) Russell and I will be going with one of my friends and (her boyfriend) and my brother, Travis, to Dave and Buster's sometime around 4 in the afternoon (prime wild time for us "old" people). For those who don't know, Dave and Buster's is (as my dad put it) pretty much a Chuck E. Cheese, but for adults. There's a big arcade (where you play games and win tickets which you can redeem for cheapo prizes, like Fun Dip), a bar (where we will not be heading), a bunch of pool tables, and a restaurant. As far as I know, the restaurant has pretty good food. I've never been to Dave and Buster's, but I have been to Jillian's, which was basically the exact same business, and actually got bought out by Dave and Buster's. It should be fun!

Russell's been working on his car recently, "pimping" it out...just kidding. He has been working on his car, but it's been repairs. Something in his steering column came loose and it's been wiggly (you could hold it and physically move it up/down/left/right), so he fixed that this past weekend while I was at the bridal expo. He's also had the problem of a tiny hole in his gas tank which made it impossible for him to fill it any higher than about halfway full. Annoying, I assure you. So he took that out Sunday, took it to a welding place and they welded the hole shut, and he put it back in. I'm glad he's a car guy...I would have no clue how to even begin taking out a gas tank.
