My friend wasn't able to come to my birthday on Saturday, but my brother came so the three of us went to Dave and Buster's for several hours. We had lunch there, the food was pretty good, and they gave me this little cake since it was my birthday. I was somewhat disappointed with the cake, it was comparable to a Little Debbie product. The games were quite awesome, there were a lot of them that I'd never seen before. We were there for a long time, got a buttload of tickets (1,692 to be exact) which we ended up giving to a couple of little kids (gave it to their dad for him to split between them or whatever), the prizes you can buy with those tickets aren't bad but still it's nothing we really needed. That night we went to the drive in and saw The Strangers and Ironman. Let me just say, my co-worker told me about The Strangers and made me curious, but it was absolutely not worth seeing in my opinion. Just...was pointless. Ironman, though, the one that I didn't really want to see, proved to be quite good. I've heard that comic geeks consider it the best of the movies that have been made based on one of the Marvel comics, because it's so close to exactly how everything happens in the actual comic strip. Pretty cool. And Trav brought me rice krispies treats...not just normal marshmallow ones, they were our special rice krispies treats. They're made with peanut butter instead of marshmallows, but they don't taste like peanut butter...and the best part is the topping, which is part chocolate chips and part butterscotch chips. It can be found here, if anyone's interested.
Other than that, the weekend was uneventful. On Friday, I painted my nails to look like plaid with red, white, blue, and black. They came out really awesome. And yesterday we went house-hunting! This has become our usual Sunday activity, which lately seems to end with me feeling nauseous from another wonderful migraine, brought on by the heat that is Phoenix.
