I know it's been forever since I've posted...sorry. I've been really really busy (at work, where I have internet access). There's sort of a lot going on for us outside of work as well. Mostly just house hunting. As Russell's mom put it, we're "at the point where you just want to buy a house, no matter what condition or where it is." She said that's how they felt towards the end of their house search. Hopefully we're close to the end! I think we'll both break here pretty soon, and possibly end up in cardboard boxes, because the process of getting a cardboard box looks pretty appealing in comparison to this hellish, hot, tedious search for houses. The people I know who have houses, have wonderful houses...that's the only thing that keeps me (us) going. But pleeeease, tell me this will end soon! I don't know how people go through this without killing someone.
The weekend after Labor Day we're going camping (at my grandparents' cabin, which we may or may not camp in a tent outside of) with my family, the first "thing" we've done with them since I've been with Russell. It should prove to be interesting.
Today's pictures section is dedicated to my brother, Travis. He's an awesome photographer and when we're together, I use his camera (that's not the only reason I get together with him, though!) and he comments on how he likes pix I take...well, I love pix he takes, too! So here are some of those such pix:
This first one is the Agua Fria River, which runs through Black Canyon City, where we used to live. It's desert all around there, but he managed to find this perfect spot where it's all green and lush, I'm not sure if he took this after it had recently rained, but it's a lot greener than most of the area (most of the river doesn't have this much foliage).
This picture is the in the same area, I think those are probably the Bradshaw Mountains (but I could be wrong). I love how the road sort of meanders up the side of this picture. It's also pretty cool how the road's lined with tumbleweed-like plants that're dry and yellow, but the entire background is green-looking. Beautiful, Trav...beautiful!
