Random Thoughts and Pictures

Nothing "major" has happened for me to write about, as I normally do. But here's some of the latest with us:
-STILL looking for a house! We're both on the brink of going insane with this.

-I've been going to the chiropractor on a regular basis. Recently went an entire week without a headache, HALLELUJAH!!!! Trying to convince Russell he should come with me for a free evaluation (keyword=free), but have yet to sway him on his anti-chiropractor stance. In spite of the obvious benefits I'm getting from it.



-Have started being a "Mommy's Helper" at the house of a friend of the girls I babysit. They're neighbors, literally like three houses down, from the girls I regularly watch, and I've babysat for them a few times before. They had a new little one in June, and now are desperate for help with household chores, so I'm sort of a maid/babysitter/misc. for them right now. Which is actually quite fun.

-Speaking of the girls I watch, the younger one was sick this past weekend so they didn't need me. Now I miss them. Can't wait for this Saturday...I swear, I'm addicted to those girls. I love them to death!



-Not to stay on this subject so long, but recently asked the girls what they want to be for Halloween: The older one (6 years old) said she's going to be a Fairy Princess Ballerina Mermaid...not really a surprise. Last year she was a Fairy Princess Ballerina, so this year she's just added a bit to it. And she doesn't see this as weird...which is just so cute and cool, at the same time. The younger one (will be 3 in November) wants to be Spiderman. Badass. :)

-Can't wait for the AZ State Fair! Shows/Events we're planning on going to: Larry the Cable Guy, Demolition Derby, Rodeo, and possibly Figure 8 Racing. And I want to go on tons of rides!! :) I love the State Fair.

-Need to dye my hair...don't really want to do it myself this time, did that last time and didn't like the outcome. I'm definitely not a professional. Should get a trim while I'm there, too-I'm getting a lot of split ends lately.



-Went to Russ's mom's going away party on Saturday night. She's going to Kuwait with the Red Cross...she's going to save the world :)

-Saw "The Women" with Russell's mom, aunts, and grandma on Sunday. It was better than I'd anticipated, but they said they were somewhat disappointed. To each his own, I guess.



-Am getting re-excited for wedding plans. My excitement seems to come in waves. This is the second or third wave, and yet I've still accomplished next to nothing. That's definitely something I need to work on.

-Trying to figure out Christmas presents. Am making a couple, but started them at least a month ago and haven't worked on them since. I need to find some motivation, and get crackin' on them!

-Am going to the post office this afternoon to ship the two cable locks to their respective companies. They were on the quad and got cut through with bolt-cutters by some would-be quad-robbers a few weeks ago. Our chain lock was too tough for them, though. Take that, robbers!! For the cable locks that were cut, one company says they'll send us back a replacement lock, the other is giving us money off of another (different model) lock.
